The 1766-MM1 is a MicroLogix 1400 memory module that provides additional storage medium of user data and programs. This memory module features an integrated 384 KB memory.
The 1766-MM1 is directly inserted to the MicroLogix 1400 controller. This module may be configured to permanently store the controller’s data, automatic loading of user programs and modular transfer of controller files without the need of programming software.
Usage of this memory module prevents accidental deletion or corruption of the controller data. Program deletion and corruption are typically caused by voltage surges, improper operation of the controller, and human error. This prevents unplanned shutdown and increases process or machine availability.
This module also allows modular transfer of user program without the need of the RSLogix programming software. It also supports program compare, data file protection, memory module write protection, and removal / insertion under power. If removal or insertion is made under power, the memory module is recognized after power cycle of the controller.
This memory module is compatible for use with MicroLogix 1400 controllers such as 1766-L32AWA, 1766-L32AWAA, 1766-L32BWA, 1766-L32BWAA, 1766-L32BXB, and 1766-L32BXBA. These controllers are shipped with Memory Module port and cover in place where the 1766-MM1 is inserted.
Initial parameterization of the 1766-MM1 requires the use of RSLogix 500 or RSLogix 500 Micro programming software. It may also be configured using the provided screen following system prompts. to command the controller to load from the memory module. With this, the contents of the memory module will be transferred to the controller.
The Allen-Bradley 1766-MM1 Memory Module is a part of the MicroLogix 1400 Programmable Controller series. It is a Memory Module that provides additional backups of user programs and data. Additionally, it allows transfer of programs between controllers. This module does not increase the integrated instead, it provides a separately allocated memory. It has a memory size of 384 KB.
The 1766-MM1 Memory Module has various other features that allow it to compare the programs stored in its memory. In case of any controller fault, it allows auto-recovery through a power cycle. The 1766-MM1 can be inserted or removed from the controller while the controller is running. It provides write protection for the data files present in the memory module. |
